Objectives of the Institute
The field of Biomedical Engineering has emerged as an important profession in developed as well as developing countries and is concerned with the application of engineering technology and science methodology to the analysis of biological, physiological and health care problems.
The Institute of Biomedical Engineering offers interdisciplinary graduate programs for the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering. The Institute's objective is to provide specialized academic training to graduate students and to conduct research work in various areas of Biomedical Engineering. The graduate programs are determined in consultation with advisors. The campus library, the university computer center and the laboratories of the Biomedical Engineering Institute and the Engineering School are available for research, development and experimental work.
