Bogazici University Student Dormitories

Bogazici University Student Dormitories are administered and supervised in accordance with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Regulation on Private Higher Education Accommodation Services and the Bogazici University Student Dormitories Directive.

The University’s dormitories are located on the South, North, Kandilli, Anadolu Hisarı, and Kilyos Sarıtepe campuses and consist of a total of seven residence halls. Situated across different campuses, the dormitories provide students with a safe, comfortable, and academically supportive living environment.

Dormitory Facilities

All dormitories provide wired and wireless internet access, 24-hour hot water, study halls, prayer rooms, laundry facilities, and 24-hour reception services. A central laundry facility is available in the Main Campus dormitories, while each of the other dormitories has its own laundry room. Reception staff are on duty 24 hours a day in all residence halls.

Room-Style Dormitories

Theodorus Hall Dormitory and Anadolu Hisarı Dormitory follow a traditional room-style accommodation model. Rooms are equipped with wireless internet access, wooden furniture, bunk beds, wardrobes, bookshelves, refrigerators, and students have access to study halls. Bathrooms and toilets are shared and located on each floor.

Apartment-Style Dormitories

1st Kilyos Dormitory, 1st North Dormitory, 3rd North Dormitory, 4th North Dormitory, and Kandilli Dormitory offer apartment-style accommodation. Students reside in apartment units with shared kitchen, bathroom, and toilet facilities. Apartments are furnished with wireless internet access, wooden furniture, bunk beds, wardrobes, study desks and chairs, bookshelves, refrigerators, and 24-hour hot water.

Accessible rooms specially designed for students with orthopedic disabilities are available in the dormitories. To enhance students’ living conditions, renovation and room improvement works are carried out regularly. All dormitory rooms and common areas are cleaned six days a week by experienced housekeeping staff.

New Dormitory Building and Strengthened Infrastructure

The 1st North Dormitory is the University's newest residence hall and was opened in 2025. Featuring contemporary architecture and consisting entirely of four-person and six-person rooms, it offers students a modern and comfortable living environment.

Comprehensive seismic retrofitting works (KABEV Project) have also been completed at the 1st Kilyos Dormitory on the Kilyos Campus. The building was reopened in 2025 with significantly improved earthquake resilience, providing students with a safer and more sustainable living environment.
