The Bachelor of Arts program gives rigorous instruction in the principal areas of philosophy. The department's target for undergraduate training is a well-balanced liberal arts education, and in consonance with such a target the program contains a high proportion of compulsory and unrestricted electives from related fields. Service courses are offered to students majoring in other disciplines, and double-major programs are conducted jointly with the departments of Economics, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Western Languages and Literature.

Admission and special requirements
Admissions are regulated by ÖSYM, the Student Selection and Placement Center. International students may be admitted on condition that the department has a quota for that year. Acknowledgement of previous learning
Students can transfer some of their courses taken during a previous higher education if they are admitted in accordance with the rules of intrainstutional or interinstitutional principles as outlined in Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Lisans Programlarına Yatay Geçiş Yönetmeliği. Courses taken during a previous learning degree cannot be transferred if the student has completed that degree.
