Sept.16, 1863 : Robert College opens with 4 students at Bebek Seminary School. Hamlin becomes the first President of Robert College
Dec. 20, 1868 : The Imperial 'rade' a permit to build on the Rumeli Hisar site is received.
July 5, 1869 : The cornerstone is laid for the first academic building on the Bebek Campus.
May 17, 1871 : Completion of Hamlin Hall, named in honour of Cyrus Hamlin.
1877 : George Washburn takes on the responsabilities of President.
1878 : Christopher Rhinelander Robert dies in Paris at the age of 76.
1888 : Founders' Day is established at Robert College
1891 : Completion of Kennedy Lodge, a residence for Robert College's President, on the Bebek campus with funds donated by John S. Kennedy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
1897 : Inauguration of first public 'Field Day' for Athletics at Robert College
1900 : C.Hamlin dies in Lexington, Massachusetts at the age of 89.
1902 : Completion of Theodorus Hall, the Robert College Prep. Building. It was erected with funds donated by Olivia Eggleston Phelps Stokes
1903 : G.Washburn leaves Robert College Dr. Caleb Gates becomes President of the school.
1904 : Completion of Robert College's Dodge Gymnasium erected with funds donated by William E. Dodge and his son Cleveland Dodge.
1906 : Completion of Robert College's Washburn Hall, designed by Alfred Dwight Foster Hamlin, son of C.Hamlin.
1907 : Basketball is introduced in Türkiye on the Robert College campus.
1908 : The first 'Charter Day' is celebrated at ACG in honour of the granting of the second Charter.
1908-1909 : First Student Council is formed at Robert College
1912 : Completion of the Robert College Engineering building, subsequently named Gates Hall after Caleb Frank Gates.
1913 : Completion of Anderson Hall, a dormitory/classroom building designed by Alfred Dwight Foster Hamlin.
1914 : Completion of Henrietta Washburn Hall-the Social Hall (and auditorium).Named for daughter of C.Hamlin. -Completion of John Sloane nfirmary, gift of trustee William Sloane in memory of his father former Robert College trustee.
1922 : President C.Gates and Huseyin Pekta attend the Lausanne Conference.
1932 : Dr. C.Gates resigns from the Presidency of Robert College Dr. Paul Monroe becomes the first joint President of Robert College and ACG. Queen Marie of Roumania and her daughter are guests at ACG.
The Robert College Library is completed on the Bebek campus and named Van Millingen Library in honour of Alexander Van Millingen.
1935 : Dr. Walter Livingston Wright succeeds Dr. Monroe as President of the colleges. -Hüseyin Pekta becomes the first Turkish Vice-President of the colleges.
1944 : Dr. Floyd Black succeeds Dr. Wright as President of the College.
1946 : Admiral Hewitt of the 'US Missouri' then on an official visit to stanbul visits the Bebek campus.
1955 : Dr. Duncan Ballantine succeeds Dr. Black as President of the Colleges.
1957 : Robert College is granted permission to become an institution of higher learning; the 'Yuksek' is established.
Nov. 28, 1960 : General Cemal Gursel future President of the Republic of Türkiye, visits the 2 colleges.
Nov. 1962 : Prof. Arnold Toynbee visits ACG.
May 1963 : Centennial celebration of Robert College
May 18, 1963 : Dedication of Perkins Hall, the new engineering building, named in memory of George Walbridge Perkins, a former president of the Board of Trustees.
1965 : Dr. Dwight Simpson becomes President.
1968 : Dr. John. S. Everton becomes President.
May 18, 1971 : The 'Yuksek' is officially ended.
Sept. 1971 : The merger of ACG and RA as a co-educational lise on the Arnavutkoy campus is officially confirmed.
1971 : Robert College becomes 'Bogazici University'.
1971: Prof.Dr. Aptullah Kuran becomes Rector.
1972: Printing house is established.
1979: Prof.Dr. Semih Tezcan becomes Rector.
1982: Prof.Dr. Ergün Toğrol becomes Rector. Faculty of Education is established.
1983: The main library starts functioning on North Campus. Kandilli Observatory and Earthquaqe Institute is annexed to BU. Institute of Environmental Sciences opens.
1984: Science and Engineering Building starts functioning.
1985: Men’s Dorm on North Campus opens. Sarıtepe Campus in Kilyos is appropriated by BU.
1986: B.U. Cultural Museum is restorated and opens. Women’s Dorm on North Campus opens. Swimming pool on South Campus starts functioning.
1987: Educational Technologies Building opens.
1989: An additional building for School of Foreign Languages and Turgut Noyan Hall open on North Campus. Lodgings for young academics open on Uçaksavar Campus.
1990: Hisar Campus starts functioning.
1991: Murat Dikmen Hall opens.
1992: Prof.Dr. Üstün Ergüder becomes Rector. Private Dorm opens on Uçaksavar Campus.
1993: Summer School starts.
1996: Prof.Dr. Üstün Ergüder becomes Rector for a second term. School of Applied Disciplines opens.
1997: Sports Complex opens on Uçaksavar Campus.
1998: Superdorm opens on Uçaksavar Campus. Theodorus Hall is restorated and takes the name “Zeynep ve Ayşe Birkan Kız Yurdu”.
1999: On-line Registration starts. Sloane Building is restorated. Sociology and Psychology Departmens move to Sloane building. Students Association starts functioning after a long break.
2000: Albert Long Hall is restorated and takes the name “Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Kültür Merkezi” . Prof. Dr. Sabih Tansal becomes Rector. An organ concert is given on campus after a break of 40 years. Mithat Alam Film Center opens.
2004: BU Garanti Cultural Center opens on Uçaksavar Campus. Natuk Birkan Building starts functioning. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Soysal becomes Rector.
2007: Swimming pool opens on Hisar Campus.
2008: New Hall opens. Prof. Dr. Kadri Özçaldıran becomes Rector.
2009: TAM (Teleiletişim ve Enformatik Alanlarında Araştırmacı ve Akademisyen Yetiştirme Merkezi) Building and a new building for Institute of Biomedical Engineering open on Kandilli Campus. Library enlarged by an additional building.
2010: Third Dorm opens on North Campus. Technoparc opens.
2011: Fourth North Dorm built for graduate students opens on North Campus.
Hamlin Hall is restored as a “green building” (after 140 years).
2012 : Prof. Dr. Gülay Barbarosoğlu becomes Rector.
2013: The Technology Transfer Office is established. Various events are organized to celebrate Robert College’s 150th anniversary.
2014: The Regional Earthquake and Tsunami Monitoring and Evaluation Center opens on Kandilli Campus. The old Turgut Noyan Building is replaced by a larger building on North Campus, and the YADYOK English Preparatory Division moves into the new building. The newly built Kilyos Dormitory 3 opens to host students on Sarıtepe Campus. The Wind Energy Power Plant on Sarıtepe Campus starts to produce electricity on 27 December, 2014.
2015: In collaboration with Boğaziçi University and Borsa İstanbul Finance Technopark is founded. Kilyos Campus Sports Hall opens. SineBu opens.
