The program offers a focused graduate study covering several aspects of Mechatronics Engineering. The theoretical foundations of industrial practice and practical applications of microprocessors, mechanical design, industrial electronics and control will be presented in a well-balanced fashion. Representatives from the industry will be invited occasionally as guest speakers to give seminars on the current state of affairs and trends. The student body that the program aims at consists of engineering graduates who are currently employed in the automation-control industry as well as those who have a personal interest in the field and wish to apply for professional positions in industry. The graduates of the program will have a broad understanding of the forming disciplines of mechatronics engineering. These graduates, having gone through an additional and focused training, are likely to occupy key positions in the industry in the long term.

Graduates of engineering and Physics programs and graduates of Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical Education Departments of Faculty of Technical Education are eligible for application.

For the completion of the non-thesis program, the students will be required to take 31 credits of coursework consisting of 10 courses plus the research project courses. Depending on the previous scope of study, each student may be required to take a number of additional courses from those listed below in the Remedial Module. Students can finish the program in 3 semesters by taking 4 core module, 6 elective module courses and one project course. At least one elective course from each course pool has to be taken. Once the courses are successfully completed, the student might transfer to the thesis option provided that the s/he satisfies any additional criteria required by admissions.

For the completion of the program with thesis, the students will be required to take 34 credits of coursework and successfully defend the thesis. Depending on the previous scope of study, each student may be required to take a number of additional courses from those listed below in the Remedial Module.
