Educational Sciences Program offers three different MA programs. These are; Adult Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, and Curriculum and Instructional Programs. These programs emphasize both the theory and technical competence required for future doctorate students as well as practitioners in the area or similar areas. Students are encouraged to develop a scientific approach, a professional attitude and competence in counseling within the scientist-practitioner model.

MASTER OF ARTS PROGRAM

a) Adult Education
The Master of Arts Program in the Department of Educational Sciences in Adult Education is a two-year program consisting of 35 credit hours (153 ECTS) of coursework spread over four semesters including the preparation of a thesis (Yuksek Lisans Tezi) and the oral defense of the thesis. Students are also required to do field work as assigned on a non-credit basis. The successful completion of the program leads to the Master of Arts Degree in Educational Sciences (Eğitim Bilimleri Yüksek Lisans Diploması).

b) Guidance and Psychological Counseling
The Master of Arts Program in the Department of Educational Sciences in Guidance and Psychological Counseling is a two-year program consisting of 36 credit hours (154 ECTS) of coursework spread over four semesters including the preparation of a thesis (Yüksek Lisans Tezi) and the oral defense of the thesis. Students are also required to do field work as assigned on a non-credit basis. The successful completion of the program leads to the Master of Arts Degree in Educational Sciences (Eğitim Bilimleri Yüksek Lisans Diploması).

The Master of Arts Program in the Department of Educational Sciences in Curriculum and Instructional Programs consists of two years of study with 32 credit hours (135 ECTS) of course work during the first year and the preparation of a thesis (Yuksek Lisans Tezi) during the second year, followed by its oral defense. The successful completion of the program leads to the Master of Arts Degree in Educational Sciences with special emphasis on Curriculum and Instructional Programs (Eğitim Programları ve Öğretim Yüksek Lisans Diplomasi).

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY PROGRAM

The Ph.D. program in Educational Sciences (Egitim Bilimleri Doktora Programi) consists of a minimum of 21 credit hours of course work beyond the Master's Degree, spread over a maximum of four semesters followed by a qualifying examination, submission of Ph.D. Dissertation (Doktora Tezi) and the oral defense of the dissertation. The successful completion of program leads to the Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Sciences (Egitim Bilimleri Doktora Diplomasi)
