About Remote Working for Administrative Staff

Dear Colleagues,

We extend our heartfelt wishes for your safety and well-being following the recent earthquake in Istanbul. We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and in good health.

In line with the decision taken by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) due to the extraordinary circumstances caused by the disaster, all academic activities will be suspended on April 24–25, 2025. Accordingly, the Istanbul Governor’s Office has announced that on these dates, public employees who are disabled, pregnant, veterans with disabilities, or mothers with children under the age of 10 will be granted administrative leave.

Based on the decision of our Rectorate, all administrative staff—except for those required to maintain essential services at the University (such as Security, Health, Reception Staff, etc.)—will continue to work remotely (online) on the specified dates. During this period, remote working procedures will apply, and it is of utmost importance that all units take the necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted operations.
