Boğaziçi University hosts cultural and artistic events in a variety of fields. Cinema, music, theater, literature and contemporary art are some of the important elements that enliven life on campus and distinguish Boğaziçi University. The dynamic artistic and cultural environment at the university has fostered the growth of many valuable artists and cultural personalities over the years. In particular, through the activities of the student clubs, students play an important role in creating and organizing artistic and cultural events on campus. For decades, the student clubs have organized concerts, theater performances, film screenings, lectures, and exhibitions at various venues on campus, especially on the South Campus.
Thanks to institutional initiatives such as the Mithat Alam Film Center and the Nazım Hikmet Research Center for Arts and Culture, our campus hosts meetings and events that contribute to the cultural life of Istanbul and Turkey. The classical music concerts that have been held at Albert Long Hall for many years have also earned a respectable place on the city's musical map. In collaboration with prestigious cultural and artistic institutions such as the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts and the British Council, exhibitions, concerts and conferences are occasionally held at our university. Since 2013, events have been organized regularly at our university, including the Boğaziçi Chronicles, which hosts international scholars, cultural and artistic figures at Tubini House on South Campus to share their work and ideas with students and the university community.
