At Bogazici University, students can participate in sports activities in their areas of interest. Through the Department of Physical Education and Sports, they can take courses in various sports areas and also earn a certificate if they complete all the courses offered on specific topics.

The main task of the University Sports Committee is to coordinate and organize the traditional Bogazici University Sports Festival at the end of the academic year. Throughout the year, the Sports Committee carries out its activities for this purpose and is selected from the athletes of the University. It is also responsible for supervising all types of sports activities throughout the academic year.

Uçaksavar Sports Complex

Stadyum: Grass football field with the dimensions 100x90 m (Tel: 7021)

Athletics Track: A 400 m, 6-lane tartan track. The football field and athletics track are available to students outside of school team practice times and physical education classes.

Fitness Center: Below the stadium is a 300 sq. ft. fitness center equipped with 30 fitness machines, available for student use. Tickets are available for a nominal fee. (Tel: 7021)

Sports Hall: The 50x40 m gymnasium with hardwood floors is located next to the stadium, across from the Superdorm, and is used for basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, and table tennis. It is available to students outside of school team practice times and physical education classes. (Tel: 6793 - 7262)

Ergo-Room: A room with 7 rowing ergometers in the sports hall is available to the athletes of the rowing team.

Hall half court = 830 TL
Hall whole field = 1380 TL 
Grass and tartan field  = 6900 TL
Grass field only = 6600 TL
Tartan field only (< 10 persons): 345 TL 

3) Facilities are closed for special occasions (e.g., school graduation/field days), maintenance, and holidays. 

4) By decision of STI YK, the fees for the use of the facilities may be lower than the amounts indicated for special reasons (e.g. long-term rental).

 South Campus Sports Facilities

Dodge Gym: A gymnasium suitable for basketball and volleyball, open to students after 5:00 pm. (Tel: 4545)

Multi-purpose Room: Step, aerobic, and Far Eastern sports are practiced in the multi-purpose room under Dodge Gym in SouthCampus.

Tennis Courts:

Reservations for the tennis courts can be made in the reservation room at the entrance to the Dodge Gym on the South Campus. (Tel: 4545)

Bebek Court: It is located 100 meters from the entrance of Bebek Gate and has a concrete floor.

Bubble Court: Located next to the Girls' dormitory on the South Campus, it is an enclosed court with a plastic floor.

Güney Court : A court with concrete floor next to the Administrative Sciences Building, suitable for tennis and basketball.

Open Basketball Court:

There are 3 open basketball courts located behind the first girls dormitory, behind the north dormitories and behind the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Carpet Field:

On the Rumelihisari Campus, students can play football  on the synthetic surface football field between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. for a fee. Special discounted rates apply for students. (Tel: 6790)

Open Swimming Pool:

The 50 x 14 m five-lane swimming pool at the entrance of Bebek Gate can be used by members  and students of Boğaziçi University upon payment of an entrance fee and presentation of a student ID.

1.   The pool is open every day from 08:30 to 19:00

2. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to enter or stay in the swimming pool without a parent or guardian.

3. Spouses and children of academic and administrative staff who wish to use the pool must obtain a pool card from the indoor pool on the Hisar Campus. The identification cards used for access to Hisar Campus Sports Facility (student, staff, alumni, spouse and children  ID cards) may also be used at the open pool entrance.
 

Hisar Sports Facility

Construction of the Hisar Sports Facility began on October 19, 2005, was completed on December 23, 2006, and opened on January 15, 2007. 

The sports facility consists of blocks A, B, and C with a total indoor area of 2925 square meters.

Block A has 575 square meters of indoor space with men's and women's locker rooms, showers, restrooms and three administrative offices on the upper floor.

Block B has 1600 square meters of indoor space, including a 550 square meter mechanical gallery and a 1050 square meter indoor swimming pool. The indoor swimming pool, measuring 15 by 33 meters, has 6 lanes and is approximately 1.75 meters deep.

Block C has 750 square meters of indoor space, including an 85 square meter dormitory for staff, a 325 square meter technical service area, and an upstairs fitness center with modern sports equipment, locker rooms, showers, and restrooms covering 325 square meters.

The humidity control unit in the indoor pool section of the sports facility provides the desired comfort by providing ventilation. The entire sports facility is equipped with underfloor heating and air conditioning systems.
