The Senate has decided to repeal resit exams starting from the 2016 Spring term. The E- and Excuse exams will be conducted as before.
University Senate decision of December 5, 2015:
At their meeting of October 28, 2015, the Council of Higher Education Executive Board decided to allow the Senate of each University to decide whether to hold or repeal Resit Examinations, provided that students are informed prior to the beginning of the academic term, and to annul the Higher Education Executive Board decision of June 19, 2012 Number 2012.19.2877.
In accordance with the decision of the Higher Education Executive Board, Boğaziçi University Senate decided
-to repeal Senate decision of December 5, 2012 number 2012/12 regarding “Resit Examination Procedures”, by unanimous vote;
-to repeal Resit Examinations as of the Second Semester of the 2015-2016 Academic Year, by majority vote;
-to continue the practice of E Examinations in accordance with Article 15 Paragraph 5 of the current Rules and Regulations Governing Undergraduate Education, and Excuse Examinations in accordance with Article 18 thereof, by unanimous vote;
-to continue the practice of E Examinations in accordance with Article 22 Paragraph 2 item ç) of the new Rules and Regulations Governing Graduate Education accepted at the Senate meeting number 2015/07 held on May 3, 2015, and Excuse Examinations in accordance with Article 24 thereof, by unanimous vote.
