MASTER OF ARTS PROGRAM IN MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The graduate program offers a course of study leading to the Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in management information systems. It focuses on providing a balance between technical skills and knowledge of business processes. The aim of the graduate program is to give students a thorough knowledge of the field and to provide an enduring foundation for future professional growth where the emphasis is on introducing improvements in academic research.

The program accepts applicants from various backgrounds who are interested in information systems and their applications in management. Successful applicants without prior experiences in information systems or management take one semester foundation courses. The graduate program is designed to be completed in four semesters. The students are required to take a minimum of 11 courses (27 credits) in two semesters and submit an M.A. Thesis.

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY PROGRAM IN MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The aim of this Ph.D. program is to raise scholars in line with the principles of Boğaziçi University that is declared in the vision statement as “increasing the effectiveness of research to take place amongst the world's leading research universities” and in mission statement as “creating universally accepted knowledge to serve humanity by contributing to notion, science, and technology generation.”

The Ph.D. program requires the completion of at least 10 courses (26 credits), written and oral qualification exams, and a doctoral dissertation.
