Ders Açıklaması / Course Description:

İngilizce: Curricular policies and practices in Turkey from the perspectives of the sociology of education approaches. The interaction of the school curricula and curricular reforms with the wider educational, social, and historical contexts.

Türkçe: Eğitim sosyolojisi yaklaşımları açısından Türkiye’deki eğitim programı politikaları ve uygulamaları. Okul eğitim programları ve eğitim programı reformlarının daha geniş eğitimsel, toplumsal ve tarihsel bağlamlarla etkileşimi.

Gerekçe / Rationale: While evaluating the old program, it was determined that there was a need for a course that focused on the relationship between the curricula and Turkey's social and educational conditions.

Ders Açıklaması / Course Description:

İngilizce: Measurement theory and the basic principles of testing. Statistical concepts for test theory, scaling, test construction, validity and reliability, item analysis, Item Response Theory and Rasch Analysis.

Türkçe: Ölçme kuramı ve ölçmenin temel prensipleri. Test kuramı için gerekli istatistiksel kavramlar, ölçeklendirme, test oluşturma, geçerlik ve güvenirlik, madde analizi, Madde Yanıt Kuramı ve Rasch analizi.

Gerekçe / Rationale: "ED 572 Introduction to Measurement Theory" is recommended as an elective course. It will be a basic course for students who want to focus on the measurement and evaluation area of the program.

ED 501 Statistics / İstatistik (3+0+2) 4 ECTS 8

Ders Açıklaması / Course Description:

İngilizce: Principles and techniques in the application of statistics to data analysis. Hypothesis testing, t-test, analysis of variance, regression and model testing. Data analysis through use of statistical software and interpretation of results. Academic reporting of data analysis findings.

Türkçe: İstatistiğin veri çözümlemesine uygulanmasındaki ilke ve teknikler. Hipotez testi, t testi, varyans çözümlemesi, regresyon ve model test etme. İstatistik yazılımları aracılığıyla veri çözümleme ve sonuç yorumlama. Veri çözümleme bulgularının akademik olarak raporlanması.

Gerekçe / Rationale: ED 501 does not meet student needs by the old definition. While expanding the scope to include more basic topics, it has been redefined to include statistical methods that can be used in theses.

ED 571 Curriculum: Theory and Design / Eğitim Programları: Kuram ve Tasarım (2+0+2) 3 ECTS 8

Ders Açıklaması / Course Description:

İngilizce: Theories, concepts, and practices associated with the design and delivery of curriculum. Special considerations in curriculum design and development.

Türkçe: Eğitim programı tasarımı ve uygulanması ile ilgili kuramlar, kavramlar ve uygulamalar. Eğitim programı tasarımı ve geliştirmede özel hususlar.

ED 578 Curriculum and Evaluation / Eğitim Programları ve Değerlendirme (3+0+0) 3 ECTS 8

Ders Açıklaması / Course Description:

İngilizce: Theory and basic concepts of curriculum and program evaluation. Models and standards in curriculum and program evaluation.

Türkçe: Eğitim programı ve program değerlendirme kuramı ve temel kavramları. Eğitim programı ve program değerlendirmede model ve standartlar.

Gerekçe / Rationale: The old definition does not cover the basic theories and concepts related to curriculum and curriculum evaluation, and includes an evaluation within the scope of Mastery Learning theory. The new definition has been expanded to include theory, concepts, models and standards related to curriculum evaluation.
