Boğaziçi University invites applications for open-rank faculty positions across multiple departments within its faculties and institutes. Appointments may be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level - commensurate with the candidate’s academic achievements, experience, and qualifications - and may be offered on a tenure-track, tenured, or visiting basis.

Applicants must hold a PhD in a field strategically aligned with the priorities of the relevant department. Candidates who have not yet completed their PhD should indicate their expected date of graduation within the year 2026. A doctorate earned from a highly reputable, research-intensive university, particularly institutions recognized in leading international rankings, will be considered a strong asset. Scholars with an internationally visible research profile, a sustained record of high-impact publications in leading venues, and a clear trajectory of scholarly distinction appropriate to their career stage are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to the candidates with a demonstrated or emerging capacity to secure competitive external research funding and to build a dynamic, externally engaged research program.

Successful candidates will be appointed in accordance with the University’s Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure Guidelines and are expected to demonstrate excellence in research, teaching, and academic leadership. They will contribute to high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise and mentor graduate researchers, and actively support the department’s intellectual and strategic development through interdisciplinary engagement, cross-unit collaboration, and meaningful academic service.
